Smart, practical, and honest, Morgan is an experienced trial attorney who puts her clients first and litigates with purpose. She understands that relationships and results matter.
Originally from Somerset, Texas, Morgan hails from a long line of small business owners and entrepreneurs. Her great grandfather owned and operated the local lumber yard and she grew up with family who worked in construction, oil fields and refineries along the Texas gulf coast. The challenges that contractors and small business owners faced in these industries inspired Morgan to pursue a career in the legal profession and to become the first in her family to obtain a graduate degree. She ultimately decided to attend law school while working at the Texas Senate and Texas Water Development Board in Austin where she was editor of the TWDB Legislative Priorities Report to the 81st legislature, setting forth appropriation requests for various water construction projects across the state.
Morgan obtained her law degree from Baylor University where she focused on administrative and regulatory law, obtaining internships with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Texas Governor’s Office. After graduating, Morgan practiced immigration law before moving into construction and business litigation, where she developed expertise handling an array of issues arising under Texas’ complex Mechanic’s and Materialman’s lien statutes. Prior to Joining the firm, Morgan worked in-house for one of the nation’s largest insurance companies as a senior trial attorney, defending the company in first-party consumer and contract litigation. Morgan has extensive on-the-ground trial and litigation experience, having first-chaired well over a dozen trials to verdict and taken over 100 depositions.
Away from the office, Morgan enjoys cooking and attending Astros games with her husband, Will. She also volunteers with local animal shelters as a foster parent for sick and injured pets.
