Feldman & Feldman keeps 23,000 acres of Galveston Bay open for Oyster Harvesting

On October 30th, Feldman & Feldman won an important victory for oysterman in Galveston Bay, and indeed for Galveston Bay itself. Cris Feldman, of Feldman & Feldman, obtained a Temporary Injunction keeping 23,000 acres of Galveston Bay open for harvesting and out of the hands of a well-financed front group trying to keep the leases for themselves.

Court of Appeals sides with MHMRA

In November of 2014, Mental Health and Mental Retardation Authority of Harris County (MHMRA) was notified that Millet Harrison had been granted outpatient treatment after being confined to an institution in Rusk, Texas since 1994. MHMRA, represented by David Feldman and Christin Grant, appealed an order by a district judge in Jefferson County that required Mr. Harrison to receive treatment in Harris County, to the Beaumont Court of Appeals. On October 30, 2015, the Court of Appeals ruled that the Jefferson County judge lacked authority to order MHMRA to provide outpatient treatment for Mr. Harrison.
